Disney Fantasy Cruise: A 7-Night Caribbean Adventure with Family Fun and Magic

Day 1: Embarkation
We kicked off our Disney Fantasy adventure with an early port arrival, allowing us to board the ship swiftly and head straight to the pool deck. The kids dove into their endless supply of ice cream while I savored the drink of the day. Boarding early is a game-changer, since it gives you an extra pool day to enjoy! Remember to pack a bag with swimsuits and sunscreen since rooms aren't ready immediately. The Sail Away Party was a blast, and we waved good-bye to Port Canaveral from the top deck. Dinner at Royal Palace introduced us to our fantastic service team, who patiently catered to the kids' every need.

Day 2: Sea Day
Our first sea day was filled with excitement as we watched the incredible Aladdin show, where the Genie absolutely stole the spotlight. The day included plenty of pool time, and my 8 year old especially loved riding the Aquaduck “water coaster”. Later, the kids had fun in the kids' club, allowing the adults to enjoy a luxurious dining experience at Remy. We each opted for the tasting menu with the wine pairing, and were treated to exquisite food and exceptional service as always!

Day 3: Cozumel
We began with an early breakfast at Cabanas before heading out for a port day in Cozumel. A taxi took us to Chankanaab, where we experienced the Dolphin Discovery adventure. Though Ivy was initially hesitant, she quickly warmed up to the dolphins. We also had the unique opportunity to pet manatees. Post-dolphin adventure, we relaxed at The Cabana Beach, enjoying a private cabana with delicious food and drinks—highly recommend their tacos! The snorkeling here was some of the best I’ve seen, and the kids had a blast playing in hammocks and discovering sea creatures.

Day 4: Grand Cayman
Having visited Grand Cayman for Spring Break this year, we decided to stay on the ship and enjoy its amenities. With the ship nearly empty, we had ample pool time and plenty of character meet-and-greet opportunities. It was really nice to get a break! At one point, I was the only person on Deck 12 soaking up the sun. Later, the evening's highlight was the pirate-themed party. Ivy’s pirate makeover at The Pirate’s League was adorable, and the deck party followed by fireworks was a fantastic experience.

Day 5: Falmouth, Jamaica
Docking in Falmouth, we booked a last-minute resort pass to Iberostar Rose Hall. This all-inclusive resort was stunning and blissfully uncrowded. We spent the day by the pool, on the beach, and at the kids' water park. Griffin discovered the swim-up bar and thoroughly enjoyed ordering 5 strawberry daiquiris! For lunch they served Jamaican jerk chicken which we all loved. The Falmouth port itself was impressively clean and well-maintained. Back on the ship, we had dinner at the adults-only Palo with delectable dishes and excellent service. The soufflé is always a must!

Day 6: Sea Day
Our final sea day was packed with fun activities. We cheered on the adorable participants in the Jack Jack diaper dash baby races, danced at a silent disco, and enjoyed the magical Frozen show. Dinner at Enchanted Garden was the perfect end to a delightful day.

Day 7: Castaway Cay
Our last full day took us to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. We secured prime beach chairs early and enjoyed meeting special Castaway characters. The day was spent playing in the sand and snorkeling in the clear blue waters. The kids loved their special coconut drinks. Castaway Cay offers both a family beach and the tranquil adults-only Serenity Bay. After lunch, we left the kids at the Castaway kids' club and relished a peaceful afternoon at the adult beach. Exhausted but content, we all had a restful night.

Leaving was bittersweet, but we made sure to secure a placeholder for our next Disney cruise adventure!
